The Year In Review

2017 has been a year full of so many great things in and out of the classrooms here at Sri Emas, we were hard pressed to narrow them down. So without further ado, here are some of the highlights of what happened during this fantastic school year which we are slowly beginning to see through the rearview mirror:

10 straight A’s in the IGCSE

At Sri Emas we are no strangers to great academic accomplishments, with our students routinely scoring above average on a worldwide scale. This year, our student Gregory Tan from our August intake did something truly remarkable: He scored 10 A*s in his exams and now plans to take over the world, one piece of engineering at a time. Jokes aside, it is a tremendous achievement and we are absolutely thrilled for Greg and the bright future ahead!

The ACE Fest 2017

Over the span of 3 weeks, our ACE Fest took centre stage on, well many stages actually! We had the Student Directed Festival (SDF) where everything from stage management to acting and directing is done exclusively by our students, then we had the Art.C Gallery presents Paper & Print gallery + workshop which showcased some seriously amazing artwork from our students and lastly, we had Performance Day where some of the best Hip Hop, Vocals and Drama acts got to show off their hard work. We hope you enjoy this little selection of snapshots from the ACE Fest!

Maths Fair at Sri Emas

As one of the hallmarks of Year 8 Mathematics, the Maths Fair is always a highlight of the year. Our students get to pick from various topics they have learned and are tasked to incorporate the concepts into a game, for other students to play and at the same time revise! Always a brilliant time for the kids and when you can anchor your learning on the fly, in a game, studying becomes a completely different ball game!

Cambridge Recognition

We were absolutely thrilled when we found out that Sri Emas has been listed as Best Practice Pioneers by Cambridge University Students’ Union (CUSU), as part of the digital launch of Innovation 800. It placed us in some elite company with other schools around the world being part of these select few. You can find the according article in the Star right here.

The year has indeed been a thrilling one and no two days are ever the same here. We would love for you to drop by, to find out a little bit more about our school and the kinds of waves we are making with the world-class students from our ranks and the innovative approach we take to learning.
